On March 21, Mayor Sun Zhiyang of Guangzhou held a symposium with a delegation led by Li Zhu, Vice Chairman of the Tsinghua Entrepreneur and Executive Club (TEEC), during their visit to the city. The meeting was attended by Executive Vice Mayor Chen Jie, the Municipal Government Secretary-General, the Director of the Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology, the Deputy Director of the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Deputy Director of the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, the Deputy Director of the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the Full-time Deputy Director of the Municipal Investment Promotion Office, and other municipal-level officials. As a core energy-sector representative enterprise of TEEC, ZH Energy was invited to participate, with its founder, Dr. Xie Wei, delivering remarks at the event.

During the symposium, Sun Zhiyang expressed gratitude to Tsinghua alumni and entrepreneurs for their longstanding support and contributions to Guangzhous development. He highlighted Guangzhous status as an international commerce and trade hub, a national advanced manufacturing base, a comprehensive gateway city, and a critical hub for international sci-tech innovation. With its robust industrial chains, top-tier R&D platforms, dynamic market environment, and open policy framework, Guangzhou, he noted, offers fertile ground for entrepreneurial innovation. The city is currently refining its business environment under the "12218" modern industrial system, focusing on targeted policy support, resource allocation, and precision services to create optimal conditions for global enterprises. He welcomed TEEC members to explore collaboration opportunities in biopharmaceuticals, artificial intelligence, and new materials, fostering mutual growth between the city and businesses.

Li Zhu praised Guangzhous strengths in policy innovation, industrial ecosystems, and application scenarios. He emphasized TEEC membersconfidence in Guangzhou, citing their successful investments in the city. The association pledged to act as a bridge, encouraging more enterprises to seek partnerships in Guangzhou. Representatives from Jianshen Technology, Anzhitinglan, Huali Biwei, Wanteng Technology, 9AM, and ZH Energy expressed strong interest in deepening collaboration. Mayor Sun responded to each proposal, directing relevant departments to enhance coordination and service support.

Notably, TEEC is a social organization for Tsinghua alumni entrepreneurs, with over 700 regular members and 200 young entrepreneur members across 10 global chapters. Its members span advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, finance, internet, green tech, biopharma, new energy, and cultural sectors. The 49-member delegation to Guangzhou included senior executives from investment funds, enterprises, and research institutions.

This government-industry dialogue underscores Guangzhous forward-looking commitment to new energy and injects momentum into ZH Energys strategic expansion in the Greater Bay Area. As a local enterprise in the vanadium redox flow battery sector, ZH Energy aims to leverage Guangzhous "12218" industrial policies and global innovation ecosystem to accelerate breakthroughs in low-cost materials and long-duration energy storage technologies. By advancing grid-side storage and renewable energy integration, the company seeks to establish the Greater Bay Area as a benchmark for new energy storage and drive global green energy transitions with innovative solutions.
