【 Summary 】China Electric Power Construction Fourth Engineering Bureau has won the bid for the largest grid type (independent) hybrid energy storage project in China - the Xinhua Ush 500MW/2GWh grid type energy

Recently, China Electric Power Construction Fourth Engineering Bureau won the bid for the largest grid type (independent) hybrid energy storage project in China - Xinhua Ush 500MW/2GWh grid type energy storage project.

The project is located in the Aheya Photovoltaic Industrial Park in Wushi County, Aksu City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, covering an area of approximately 456.84 acres. The total installed capacity of the project is 500MW/2GWh, which includes 250MW/1GWh of lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage and 250MW/1GWh of all vanadium flow battery energy storage. The energy storage time is 4 hours, and the entire station can store 2GWh of electricity in one charge, which can meet the daily electricity demand of about 300000 households.

The main construction contents of the Fourth Hydroelectric Bureau include the 250MW/1GWh lithium iron phosphate energy storage construction and commissioning project within the bid section, the 250MW/1GWh vanadium liquid flow energy storage construction and commissioning project, one 220kW booster collection station project, one 220kW transmission line project (about 2 kilometers), and related construction projects in the production and living area.

After the completion of the project, it will provide stable and clean energy supply to the local area, assist the economic and social development of Aksu region and even the entire Xinjiang, and also become an important window to showcase China's new energy technology strength and green development achievements.

Grid based hybrid energy storage is one of the hot energy storage tracks in recent years, playing a crucial role in the construction of new power systems.
