Inventy was formed in 2020 by the merger of RedT Flow Battery Company in the UK and Avalon Flow Battery Company in Canada. Sold 2.2MWh vanadium flow battery system to Taiwan in November 2022 Provide 1.5MWh flow battery to Korea Electric Power Company in December 2022 更多阅读:
Since 2016, RedT has developed third-generation liquid flow batteries, which have been installed in various application scenarios in the UK, mainland Europe, Australia, sub Saharan Africa, and Southeast Asia. Last year, the company announced a partnership with Statkraft, the largest renewable energy producer in Europe, to provide a fully financed "integrated solar energy storage" solution for UK business customers. This marks the first time such products have been applied in the UK's electricity sales model. In the summer of 2019, RedT announced that its liquid flow battery became the first liquid flow battery product to receive pre qualification from the National Grid of the UK, providing dynamic frequency regulation services to the UK transmission network.
Avalon was founded by professionals in the North American liquid flow battery industry in 2013, with experience dating back to 2005, and was a member of the team that delivered the first vanadium liquid flow battery project in North America. Avalon developed the first generation of vanadium flow batteries in 2016 and has deployed over 160 flow battery modules from its third-generation technology to projects in North America, East Asia, Australia, and Europe to date.
Taiwanese industrial equipment wholesaler Beiying International will purchase 10 sets of VS3 vanadium flow battery systems from Ininity, marking Ininity's entry into the East Asian market. These systems will be resold to industrial customers in Taiwan, and the first batch of batteries will be delivered in December. The goal of this dealer is to expand its business in energy and electrification, including renewable energy and electric vehicle equipment and infrastructure. It is expected that these systems will be used for renewable energy matching, and the first system sold will be installed at the Industrial Technology Research Institute.
Received another 15MWh order from Taiwan in December 2022
This transaction is a distributor agreement, and distributor Yongjun Technology will promote Ininity's liquid flow battery products in segmented markets in Taiwan and Southeast Asia. The deposit is about to arrive, and the first batch of deliveries will begin in 2023, with most deliveries expected to be completed in 2024. The purchase contract of Yongjun Technology Company also includes a potential follow-up order, allowing it to purchase an additional 255MWh of Inventy products within the next three years. This order is Infinity's largest to date, replacing the 10MWh renewable energy microgrid order it received in California.
Yongjun Technology Company was established in July this year as a joint venture between Everbright Technology and Prolergy, focusing on the construction, system integration, and product distribution of energy, smart buildings, and public electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
The largest power company in South Korea will attempt a vanadium flow battery energy storage system manufactured by Infinity Energy Systems. Infinity announced the 1.5MWh transaction yesterday and stated that South Korea's Hyosung Heavy Industry (part of Hyosung Group) has placed an order. The energy storage department of electrical equipment manufacturer Xiaoxing has signed or delivered energy storage projects in various regions, including South Africa and the United Kingdom. This time, a liquid flow battery system will be installed at the research and development center of Korea Electric Power Company (KEPCO). According to Infinity, the project will pay the first installment this year, and debugging should be completed by mid-2023.
The transaction was reached after the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between Ininity and Xiaoxing Heavy Industries in April, with the aim of promoting the commercialization of liquid flow battery technology in the Korean and international markets. The liquid flow battery will be installed in the KEPCO facility in Luozhou City, and the power company will collect performance data for the system. Based on the trial situation, KEPCO can apply for a wider range of usage qualifications for these devices. Infinity stated that this may bring grid scale project opportunities for KEPCO and Xiaoxing.
