Recently, the Ministry of Science and Technology issued a draft for comments on the 2022 Project Application Guidelines for the National Key Research and Development Program "Energy Storage and Smart Grid Technology" during the 14th Five Year Plan period.
The declaration guidelines include:
Three ultra long time scale energy storage technologies: 100MW level advanced compressed air energy storage technology, new generation liquid flow battery energy storage technology, and wide liquid temperature range high-temperature molten salt heat storage technology.
Four medium to long-term energy storage technologies: low-cost and long-life manganese based lithium-ion batteries, organic energy storage batteries, aqueous metal ion energy storage batteries, and hundred megawatt hour sodium ion battery energy storage technologies.
Two short-term high-frequency energy storage technologies: high-power lithium-ion battery energy storage technology and high-power dual ion energy storage batteries.
